Mr. Yazaki then furthered his studies with some of the great conducting teachers in Europe – Franco Ferrara, Sergiu Celebidache, Zdenek Kosler, Pierre Dervaux and Hans Swarowsky, whose students included Claudio Abbado and Zubin Mehta. He was a prize-winner at the first John Player International Conductors Competition in 1974, at the Besancon Competition in 1975, and at the Rassengna Internazionale “Gino Marinuzzi” in 1996.
Since 1994, Hikotaro Yazaki has been Principal Guest Conductor of the Chamber Orchestra of Toulouse.

Pornphan Banternghansa, a native of Bangkok , Thailand , started playing piano at the age of five. Her primary teachers include Ms. Pantipa Treepoonpon, and Ms. Kesorn Jittawair. She has been the recipient of many music awards including, Second prize at the Centre for the arts at Mizner Park's Scholarship Competition in Boca Raton, U.S.A., Winner at the Salzburg College's summer program piano competition in Salzburg, Austria, First Prize winner at the Fourth Bangkok Chopin Competition along with “Best Performance of Mazurka” and “Best Performance of Nocturne”, and First Prize winner at the Yamaha Electone Competition. |
