Bangkok Concert
November 19-20, 2004 at The Thailand Cultural Center

The Thai Red Cross and Maximize by D TAC, together with the Siam City Hotel, are gearing up for Bangkok's “Charity Concert of The Year” by Khun Kamala Sukosol. Demand for Khun Kamala's annual concert has grown bigger than ever that the 2004 show, titled “Music Is My Life” , is moved from the Siam City Hotel to the Thailand Cultural Center for the November 19-20 performances.
Following the success of the smash hit, “Live & Learn” and the new release of “Luk Mae” (both composed by Boyd Kosiyabong), Khun Kamala - long recognized as Thailand's top jazz performer - gained a new and “mass” audience base who regard her as a “pop” singer. (Khun Kamala's solo “pop” album produced by Boyd Kosiyabong is set for release in 2005). As a result of this broader appeal, the November concert will incorporate several Thai and English pop hits, in addition to the demanding and rhythm-filled jazz repertoire.
Khun Kamala captivates with her powerful voice and extraordinary style and entertains with fabulous music and amusing dialogue, as she takes the audience down memory lane from her singing debut twenty-eight years ago, on the road to becoming Thailand's most admired vocalists. Guests making appearances along the “musical journey” will include Boyd Kosiyabong, Nop Pronchamni, Dolchai Boonyaratavej, “Noi” Krissada Sukosol Clapp of “PRU”, Daranee Briones and Marisa Sukosol Nunbhakdi . Khun Prachin Songpow's 30-member Big Band Jazz & String Orchestra will dazzle, as will the delightful talent of the Aree School of Dance Arts.
The show's repertoire includes chart-topping Thai hits such as “Live & Learn”, “Lom Hai Jai”, “Luk Mae”, “Krai”, “Suk Wan Neung” , and a preview of the slated hit from “PRU”s 2004 new release album. To please Khun Kamala's loyal fan base of jazz enthusiasts, the concert will also feature her signature songs, “Cabaret”, “New York, New York, “Mack the Knife”, “Fever”, “I Will Survive” and several other exciting tunes including an energetic Latin section. Younger audiences will be treated to versions of hit songs by Britney Spears and Maroon Five.
