GOGOL & MAX

Their highly musical and artistic skill, their penchant for ingenious and refreshing humor and their fascinating stage presence are the secret of the success of two remarkable artists. GOGOL & MAX are musical clowns in the international elite, two virtuosi in this extremely demanding profession.

Their lively program is full of swiftly performed side-splitting artistry, slapstick mime and tricks as unique as they are original. But that is by no means all: their profound classical training, including the study of music, enables them to take part in a curious musical competition, a show of strength in concerto form on over twenty instruments from all over the world.

Gogol & Max set alight a screamingly funny musical firework display, play in concert on piano and clarinet, squabble with each other on tuba, accordion, alphorn or saxophone and then join together for a 'concerto grande' for two guitars. Even completely unknown fantasy instruments are integrated into their brilliant sow with consummate ease and eminent musicality - instruments as absolutely novel as the trumpet-violin and basin-xylophone, the wineglass-harp or the only glass-xylophone in the world.

The virtuoso contest between these two arch-comedians against and with each other has fascinated and inspired international audiences all over Europe and as far as Asia.
