คณะซิมโฟนี ออร์เคสตรา ออฟ เดอะ เนชันแนล โอเปรา เฮาส์ ออฟ เบลารุส เป็นหนึ่งในวงซิมโฟนีออร์เคสตราชั้นนำของยุโรป ด้วยการนำของวาทยกรนามว่า อังเดร กาลานอฟ คณะได้สร้างสรรค์ผลงานจนนับเป็นหนึ่งในวงซิมโฟนีออร์เคสตราชั้นนำ และได้เดินทางไปเปิดการแสดงยังหลายประเทศ เช่น กรีซ สเปน โปรตุเกส เยอรมนี อิสราเอล โปแลนด์ ไซปรัส อิตาลี ฯลฯ สำหรับการแสดงในกรุงเทพฯ ครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นการร่วมเฉลิมฉลอง 250 ปีโมซาร์ท โดยวงจะบรรเลงผลงานที่มีชื่อเสียงที่สุดของโมซาร์ทสองชิ้น ได้แก่ Symphony No.40 และ Requiem Mass in D Minor

Symphony No.40 แต่งขึ้นโดยใช้บันไดเสียงจีไมเนอร์ ซึ่งเป็นเรื่องหายากของโมซาร์ท ผู้ชอบแต่งเพลงด้วยท่วงทำนองสนุกสนานร่าเริง ขณะที่ Requiem เป็นบทเพลงที่เต็มไปด้วยความลึกลับ ซึ่งความจริงแล้วโมซาร์ทยังแต่งเพลงนี้ไม่เสร็จก็เสียชีวิตเสียก่อน เพลงเรคเควียมถูกนำไปใช้ในพิธีมิสซาของโบสถ์โรมัน คาทอลิก โดยเป็นการสวดอ้อนวอนให้สวรรค์รับดวงวิญญาณของผู้ล่วงลับ นอกจากนี้ ยังใช้ในพิธีฝังศพและในโอกาสต่างๆ เพื่อเป็นการแสดงความรำลึกถึง

Mozart Symphony Concert

The Symphony Orchestra of the National Opera House of Belarus is one of Europe?s leading symphony orchestras. Under the guidance of chief conductor Andrei Galanov it has performed in Greece , Spain , Portugal , Germany , Israel , Poland , Cyprus , Italy , etc. In Bangkok , to celebrate Mozart?s 250 birth anniversary, the orchestra will tackle two of Mozart?s most famous works: Symphony No. 40 and the Requiem Mass in D minor

Symphony No. 40 was written in g minor, a rare choice for Mozart, who showed a strong preference for cheerier major keys. On the other hand the mysterious circumstances of the Requiem?s commission, and the fact that it was left incomplete by a dying Mozart, have ensured a continuing fascination with his last composition. A Liturgy service of the Roman Catholic Church and its Eastern Rite, its theme is a prayer for the salvation of the souls of the departed, and it is used both at services immediately preceding a burial, and on occasions of more general remembrance.
