BOJAN Z ชื่อเต็มคือ Bojan Zulfikarpasic นักดนตรีแจสเชื้อสายเซอร์เบีย เคยร่วมวงดนตรีกับ Loureau Texier และ Portal เขาได้รับยกย่องว่าเป็นนัก ดนตรีแนวแจ๊๊ซร่วมสมัยที่มีความสามารถสูงคนหนึ่งในวงการ

BOJAN Z เข้าวงการดนตรีอย่างเป็นจริงเป็นจังในปี1990ได้รับรางวัลนักดนตรี เดี่ยวแจ๊ซยอดเยี่ยม ในการประกวด ( Concours de la Défence ) แทนที่
Marc Buronfosse ซึ่งเคยได้รับรางวัลนี้ในฐานะเป็น ( Bass Player ) ของวง ควอร์เต็ทร่วมกับ François Merville( เป็นมือกลอง) Julien Loureau ( เล่น แซกโซโฟน) BOJAN Z จึงเป็นหนึ่งในนักดนตรีแจ๊ซที่มีชื่อเสียงในอันดับต้นๆ ของฝรั่งเศส ต่อมาในปี 1991 BOJAN Z ได้เริ่มเล่นเพลงกับ Henri Texier ซึ่ง เป็นมือเบสที่โด่งดังของวงควอร์เต็ท ( Azur ) ต่อมานักดนตรีคลาริเน็ทมือ อาชีพอย่าง Michel Portal ก็เข้ามาร่วมวงด้วยอีกคนหนึ่ง และทำให้คณะของ พวกเขามีชื่อเสียง

เป็นที่รู้จักมากที่สุดในฝรั่งเศส ยุโรป และแม้แต่ในประเทศโพ้นทะเลอื่นๆ ทำนองดนตรี ที่เป็นแบบเฉพาะอันเป็นผลมาจากเทคนิคการประพันธ์ที่นำเอา เนื้อหาแท้ๆ ของความเป็นแจสมาผสมผสานกันอย่างลงตัว กับลีลาดนตรีพื้น บ้านของกลุ่มประเทศบอลข่าน ดังนั้นการได้มีโอกาสเล่นเพลงร่วมกับเขาจึง เป็นความทรงจำที่ยากจะลบเลือนนอกจากจะได้รับ

สำหรับการทัวร์คอนเสิรท์ในเอเชียครั้งนี้ นอกจากกรุงเทพฯแล้ว เขาจะไป แสดงต่อที่ฮ่องกงกัมพูชา เวียดนาม และฟิลิปปินส์ด้วย ในกรุงเทพฯ BOJAN จะเปิดคอนเสิร์ตโชว์เดี่ยว 2 รอบ ที่ออดิทอเรียมของสมาคมฝรั่งเศสและที่
ออดิทอเรียม ( Settrade ) นอกจากนี้ กลุ่มนักดนตรีแจ ๊ซคนไทยก็ได้รับเชิญให้ มาร่วมคอนเสิรท์กับยอดศิลปินแจ ๊ซชาวฝรั่งเศสคนนี้ด้วย

This pianist of Serbian descent, whose real name is Bojan Zulfikarpasic, had received recognition, alongside Loureau, Texier and Portal, as one of today’s most talented contemporary jazz musicians.

His career actually began in 1990. Replacing the pianist of bassist Marc Buronfosse’s quartet (with François Merville on drums and Julien Lourau on sax), Bojan won first prize for best soloist at the ’Concours de la Défense’ where his appearance did not go unnoticed. Since 1991 he began working with famous French double-bass player Henri Texier and his successful ‘Azur’ Quartet. Later he joined clarinettist Michel Portal, with both of them playing on France and Europe ’s most prominent stages. With his special language – consisting of a mature jazz vocabulary and subtly dosed folkloric influences from the Balkans – Bojan leaves an indelible imprint on all the groups he plays with.

He has been distinguished by the French Ministry of Culture as ‘Chevalier de l’ Ordre des Arts et des Lettres’, and received the Jazz Academy ’s ‘Django Reinhardt Musician of the Year’ Award in 2002. His triumph came in 2005 when he was consecrated ‘Best Musician of European Jazz’.

Either Playing solo or with other musicians, he has been seen in many festivals such as the Montreal Festival, the North Sea Jazz Festival, the Paris Jazz Festival, the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, the Jazz in Marciac Festival and the London Jazz Festival.

Bangkok is the third step in Bojan Z’s Asian tour, bringing him to Hong Kong , Cambodia , Vietnam and the Philippines . He will give two solo concerts at the Auditorium of the Alliance Française and the Settrade Auditorium. The famous Thai jazz band ‘Maen Sri’ has been asked to open these two concerts and, who knows, maybe also join the French pianist in jam sessions.
