ศิลปินผู้สร้างสรรค์นาม Decouflé ผู้เป็นทั้งนักประดิษฐ์คิดค้นและออกแบบท่า เต้น ทั้งยังเป็นผู้ผลิตภาพยนตร์ จะมาทำการแสดงในชุด ‘le doute m’habite’ ที่ เขาใช้สีลาท่าทางของร่างกายก่อให้เกิดทัศนศิลป์บนเวที

Decouflé พยายามที่จะค้นพบการแสดงภาพลวงตาใหม่ๆ ที่ยังไม่เคยมีใคร ได้เห็นมาก่อน โดยใช้ทั้งท่าเต้น ภาพ เสียง แสง และการแสดงเข้าช่วยเขาจะเล่น ระหว่างความเป็นจริงและภาพลวงตา ระหว่างกระจกกับเงาสะท้อน ระหว่างจอ ภาพและเวที โดยใช้ส่วนต่างๆของร่ายกายของเขา เป็นสื่อแสดงภาพอันหลาก หลายออกสู่สายตาคนดู ในการแสดงไร้เสียงนี้ การแสดงเดี่ยวที่จะใช้ร่างกาย เป็นส่วนสำคัญในการแสดงครั้งนี้ เท่ากับเป็นโอกาสอันดีที่ Decouflé จะได้ แสดงความสามารถทางการเต้นรำ โดยใช้ร่างกายก่อให้เกิดภาพ และเล่นกับ ภาพของตัวเองที่จะทำให้เกิดอีกหลากหลายภาพมากมายตามมา

จากความสำเร็จของการแสดงชุด ( Tricodex ) ที่แสดงโดยคณะ Ballet de l’Opéra de Lyon เนื่องในพิธีปิดงานเทศกาลวัฒนธรรมฝรั่งเศสในปีที่แล้ว สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฝรั่งเศสประจำประเทศไทย และสมาคมฝรั่งเศสกรุงเทพ จึงเชิญ Philippe Decouflé มาแสดงเพื่อเป็นการปิดท้ายงานเทศกาลในปีนี้ เพื่อ ที่คนไทยจะได้รับรู้ และเห็นถึงความสามารถอันน่าประทับใจของศิลปินนักสร้าง สรรค์คนนี้

ปัจจุบัน Decouflé อุทิศตนให้กับการทำงานศิลปะที่คอมพิวเตอร์และสื่อเข้ามา มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้อง กับผลงานที่ชื่อว่า ‘le doute m’habité เขาพยายามและต้องการ ที่จะนำเสนอการแสดงละครเวทีรูปแบบใหม่ ที่ผสมผสานการแสดงทางร่างกาย กับการมองเห็น ความเป็นจริงกับภาพลวงตา ฉากที่เสมือนภาพที่เราไม่อาจจับ ต้องได้กับร่างกายมนุษย์เราที่ มีอยู่จริง

Artist Philippe Decouflé, creator of fantasy worlds, dancer, choreographer and film-maker, returns to his roots as a mime artist and contemporary dancer in a dance performance called ‘The Doubt Within Me’, using his body to produce a visual symphony.

In a performance which doesn’t aim to tell a story, Decouflé creates optical effects and brand-new interactions between dance, image, lights, theatre and music. He questions the real world and its illusions, the mirror and its reflection, the screen and the stage, by incorporating his own corporal form into a more intangible environment.

After the success of Tricodex performed by the Lyon Opera Ballet for the closing of the ‘La Fête’ festival in June 2005, the French Embassy in Thailand and the Alliance Française of Bangkok are proud to welcome Philippe Decouflé himself. Thus, the Thai audience will be given the opportunity to discover this genius creator by attending his solo live performance.

PhilippeDecouflé now dedicates his work to media arts. With ‘The Doubt Within Me’, his intention is to present a new theater where image and physical performance, reality and illusion, the virtual stage and the real body, intertwine.
