ภายใต้การออกแบบท่าเต้นจากติแอร์รี มาล็องแด็ง ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ.2541 ศูนย์ออกแบบท่าเต้นแห่งชาติ บัลเล่ต์ บิยาริตซ์ กลับมาได้รับคำยกย่องอีกครั้ง ผู้ชมได้ชมงานอันละเมียดละมัยของติแอร์รี มาล็องแด็ง จากท่าเต้นคู่ถึงท่ายกขาแบบอราเบสก์ สมทบด้วยการสอดประสานทางดนตรีที่ปรับเปลี่ยนใหม่ตลอดเวลา
ติแอร์รี มาลอ็งแด็ง เป็นเจ้าของผลงานการออกแบบท่าเต้นประมาณหกสิบรายการ ได้รับรางวัลจากการประกวดออกแบบท่าเต้นมาแล้วหลายครั้ง เขาสิ้นสุดอาชีพนักเต้นเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2529 เพื่อก่อตั้งกลุ่ม Temps Présent ซึ่งโดดเด่นเป็นที่รู้จักจากการกวาดรางวัลต่างๆ มากมาย เช่น รางวัลจากมูลนิธิเดอ ฟรองซ์ และรางวัล นูโว ตาลองต์ (หน้าใหม่มาแรง) จากสมาคมนักเขียนและผู้ประพันธ์เพลงละครของฝรั่งเศส

On the music of The Creatures of Prometheus, Beethovens only opus for ballet, Thierry Malandain combines contemporary features and classical tradition, imagination and talent in recounting, with 14 bright and eloquent dancers, both the genesis and history of dancing art.
The Creatures is an enchanting ballet. Watching a boiling, sometimes explosive, both physical and expressive choreography, dealing with humanity, love, death and rebirth, one feels elated after such a creation, as if carried away towards something which makes things clear and raises you to exaltation.
Thierry Malandain
Conducted by French choreographer Thierry Malandain, the Centre Chorégraphique National Ballet Biarritz has gained recognition. We can see in Thierry's Malandain's work his long-lasting concern for details, from pas de deux to arabesque, coupled with a constantly renewed musicality.
Thierry Malandain is the author of about sixty choreographies. Laureate of several choreographic competitions, he ended his career as a dancer in 1986 in order to set up the Compagnie Temps Présent which will awarded several prizes such as the Prize of the Fondation de France or the Prize New Talent of the SACD (Société des Auteurs et des Compositeurs Dramatiques).
A Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres, nominated in 2004 for the Benois de la Danse at the Bolchoï theater in Moscow, awarded the Prize of the best foreign performance at the 19th International Ballet Festival in Havana and the Cultural Prize of the Foundation Sabino Arana for Ballet Biarritz in Bilbao 2005 Many observers across the world see him as a worthy heir of the classical masters. |
