มูร์ราร์ด แมร์ซูกิ
จากโรงเรียนกายกรรมสู่การเต้นฮิป-ฮอป มูร์รัด แมร์ซูกิ เกิดที่เมืองลียง เมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2516 จากครอบครัวชาวกาบิลชนเผ่า หนึ่งในประเทศแอลจีเรีย เขาเริ่มเรียนศิลปะการต่อสู้และกายกรรมตั้งแต่อายุ 7 ปี เมื่ออายุได้ 15 ปี เขาได้ทำความรู้จักกับการ เต้นแบบฮิป-ฮอป และหลังจากนั้นได้หันไปทำงาน ด้านการออกแบบท่าเต้นในรูปแบบอื่น ประสบการณ์อันหลากหลายกระตุ้นให้เขา เกิดความต้องการออกแบบท่าเต้นที่เป็นการผสมผสาน ระหว่างการเต้นฮิป-ฮอปกับงานกำกับการแสดงและงานแสดงบนเวที เขาจึงก่อตั้งคณะเต้นกลุ่มแรกของตนขึ้นมาในปี พ.ศ. 2547 โดยได้จัดการแสดงชุด อธีนา ซึ่งประสบความสำเร็จเป็นอย่างสูงในการนำ การเต้นฮิป-ฮอป ที่นิยมเต้นข้างถนนขึ้นสู่เวที โดยมิได้สูญเสียเอกลักษณ์ของการเต้นประเภทนี้ไปแต่อย่างใด ในปี พ.ศ. 2549 มูร์ราร์ด แมร์ซูกิ ตัดสินใจก่อตั้ง Käfig คณะเต้นของตนเองขึ้นมา โดยทุกวันนี้ Käfig ได้รับการยอมรับว่าเป็นหนึ่ง ในคณะเต้นฮิป-ฮอปที่สำคัญคณะหนึ่งของฝรั่งเศส |
Käfig celebrates its 10th anniversary and offers itself on stage Wasteland, a performance resembling the image of the company: floating, experimental and inventive. For his last creation, Mourad Merzouki chose to associate hip hop dancers with artists stemming from circus and theatre, all trying to outdo each other in audacity and virtuosity.
An old wooden fence surrounds this wasteland with a streetlight and the noisy city at the back. This desolate area allows dream and madness. A neglected place with its code and rules thus can mean a place where everything is still to be built, where everything can change
Down there, nothing is premeditated, everything follows up spontaneously. Acrobatics and aerobatics, virtuosity of figures, movement, using of space are so many possibilities dancers will explore.
The old woman, the pretty girl, the rogues, the young depressive people and the scenes following one another show us that fences and wastelands are not only no mans lands but also joyful, lively, free and hopeful areas where you can meet, laugh and dream. A life scene both simple and complex, a great vector of sense and emotions, an infinite and rich source of creativity.With humor and irony in this energetic, dynamic and acrobatic dance performance, the artists play in a story without standing for a social analysis.

Mourad MERZOUKI
From school of circus to hip hop
Mourad Merzouki was born in Lyon in 1973, from Kabyle origins; at the age of seven he started doing martial arts and circus. At fifteen he discovers hip-hop dance and then tries other choreographic languages. The richness of his background led him to create artistic projects that mix hip-hop with other stage arts, and different approaches of performing. Thus he creates his first company Accrorap in 1989. In 1994 the company presents Athina, which completely succeeded in moving hip-hop from the streets to the stage, without depriving it of its identity. In 1996, Mourad Merzouki chose to start his own company, Käfig, considered today to be one of the most important ones in French hip-hop. |
