The fourth edition of the French cultural festival
<La Fête> organized by the French Embassy in Thailand and Alliance Française Bangkok, in partnership with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration will take place from June 6th to 28th 2007. The festival pays tribute to His Majesty the King of Thailand, on the occasion of his 80th Birthday.

From the 6th to the 28th of June 2007 and for the fourth year in a row, <La Fête is back in Bangkok ! Now playing a great role in the cultural landscape of the city, the French cultural festival will surprise once more thanks to its 14 eclectic events. From the Ballet Biarritz, the Electronic Music Festival, to cinema, circus, and contemporary art: quality, <crossbreeding of arts> and originality are still the key words of this programme.

Inspired by the dialog between French and Thai cultures, the exquisite 2007 selection is bound to satisfy all “artistic tastes” thanks to its varied forms and mixed cultures.

1. The Creature by Ballet of Biarritz
On Ludwig van Beethoven < Creatures of Prometheus > 's music, the choreographer Thierry Malandain reinterprets Genesis through dancing.

3. 9.81 by Compagnie 9.81
Behind this enigmatic figure there are the laws of universal attraction... The author plays on stage with the influence which determines the begin and what surrounds him. One single number for a multitude of trajectories.

7. Thai artist Montri Toemsombat
Through a siries of photographies showing several representations of the artist himself. Within the perspective of montri's previous works inspired from Buddhism.

8. Essences insensees : a visual and olfactory exhibition on perfume.
13 artists (sush as Jean Michel Othoniel and Johan Creten) have been invited to work on the elaboration of an "essence" and a flask that would best match it.
